The Nikon 90i Upright/Widefield Research Microscope

The Nikon Eclipse 90i is an easy-to-use, standard, upright, brightfield/fluorescent research microscope.  This microscope is equipped with two cameras (color and monochromatic) that are capable of capturing single images or movies, and is ideal for brightfield and/or epi-fluorescent images of whole tissues, small organisms, etc. with the following objective lenses; a 4x dry, 10x dry, 20x dry, 40x dry and a 60x oil immersion.  If needed there is a 100x oil immersion lens available upon request.   There are filters cubes allowing for detection with epi-fluorescence in the following wavelengths; DAPI, FITC, TRITC, Cy5 and Cy7.  It uses the high-performance imaging software NIS-Elements which offers a variety of image processing and analysis functions. It also enables data extraction from acquired images. In addition, NIS-Elements allows for intuitive operation of the Nikon 90i microscope.
