The Nikon C2+ Confocal Ni-E Upright Research Microscope

The Nikon C2+ is an upright confocal microscope that complements our current inverted platforms.  It is particularly useful in epi-fluorescence imaging of fixed cells or tissues (on prepared slides with sealed #1.5 coverslips) or live cells and specimens in which the lens must be positioned above the sample for optimal acquisition (say with a dipping lens).It uses 4 diode lasers (405, 488, 561, and 640) and has 3 channel fluorescence detectors in the scan head and works on a Nikon Ni-E upright research microscope.  It uses the high-performance imaging software NIS-Elements which offers a variety of image processing and analysis functions. It also enables data extraction from acquired images. In addition, NIS-Elements allows for intuitive operation of the Nikon Ni-E microscope.  The following objective lenses available with this system are: 10x dry, 20x dry, and 60x oil, as well as the following water dipping lenses 20x, 40x, and 60x, but all other lenses on the Nikon 90i and the Nikon A1-R Confocal are available upon request.  It has the following filter cubes and dichroic mirror sets for the fluorescence wavelengths of DAPI, FITC, TRITC, and Cy5.
